Chamaedorea elegans - Neanthe bella Palm, also known as Parlor Palm is a member of the Araceae family and is a slow growing palm native to Southern Mexico and Guatemala.
A low maintenance and easy to care for plant makes the Neanthe bella Palm is a very common houseplant. It can tolerate low light up to moderately bright conditions.
It prefers a evenly moist soil, but do not allow to sit in water or dry out completely. Misting the foliage is beneficial but not required.
The Neanthe bella Palm will eventually grow to be 3-4' high.
Because of its slow growth, Neanthe bella Palm will do well in a container garden, terrarium or as a houseplant as it can tolerate low light and is easy to care for. It also makes an interesting fairy garden plant and will stay small for extended periods of time.
