Cercis canadensis, commonly known as Eastern Redbud, is a striking deciduous tree native to North America. It is cherished for its eye-catching display of pink to lavender flowers that emerge in early spring, adorning its bare branches before the leaves appear. Eastern Redbud typically reaches a height of 20 to 30 feet (6 to 9 meters) and a spread of 25 to 35 feet (7.5 to 10.5 meters). It prefers to grow in full sun to partial shade, thriving in a variety of soil types as long as they are well-draining.
